Zanzibar is situated in the Indian Ocean, 36 km off the coastline of mainland Tanzania lies Zanzibar. Zanzibar officially refers to the archipelago that include Unguja and Pemba, surrounded by about 50 smaller ones. Zanzibar is an island state within the United Republic of Tanzania, and has its own semi-autonomous government made up of a Revolutionary Council and House of Representatives.
Once the trading centre of the whole of East Africa, Zanzibar attracted Sumerians, Assyrians, Phoenicians, Arabs, Chinese and Malays. The great explorers, Burton, Speke, Livingstone and Kraft continued their journeys from these shores. It is characterized by beautiful sandy beaches with fringing coral reefs, warm clear blue waters, idyllic islands, excellent reefs for snorkeling and diving, fantastic deep sea fishing and water sports activities.
Day 1
Transfer from Zanzibar Airport to North Coast, one of Zanzibar’s most secluded beaches hotel, the Hotel is 60 min drive from airport, overnight in Sunset Kendwa or similar hotel (Bed+Breakfast)
Day 2
Morning breakfast ready for the transfer to Muyuni Beach for Snorkeling Trip at Mnemba Atoll, where a boat will be at your disposal to take you to the dolphin site, where you will get chance to play, swim with the dolphin. Later on head to Mnemba Island for snorkeling perfect spot and finally head to Sandbank for refreshment and drinks. Back to the hotel for overnight Sunset Kendwa or similar hotel (Bed+Breakfast)
Day 3
After breakfast, pick up from your hotel to Mvuleni village to Visit Fukuchani cave & mvuleni ruins where you can swim in the natural lagoon cave. After that, you can have a short walk village tour….later on get the chance to visit the natural aquarium in Nungwi, which is home to the resident sea turtles and a variety of fishes. After the tour head back to hotel for overnight Sunset Kendwa or similar hotel (Bed+Breakfast)
Day 4
Morning breakfast, full day leisure with the hotel enjoying with the sun and swimming in the Indian Ocean. Overnight at Sunset Kendwa or similar hotel (Bed+Breakfast)
Day 5
Half day leisure with Sunset Kendwa or similar hotel – transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
